Answers to common questions. Still stuck? Email support@gremlingarage.dev and include your phone model.

Is Rig Life free?

Yes. It's free to play. There are optional rewarded ads for bonuses, occasional short ads later on, and optional purchases like Remove Ads, boosts and cosmetic skins.

How many ads are there?

Bonus ads are always your choice. Short ads never appear in your first ten minutes, never more than one every four minutes, and at most six a day, only at natural breaks like moving region. Remove Ads switches them off for good.

Can I buy crates with real money?

No. Crates are earned by playing: free supply drops, daily rewards, goals, contracts and achievements. You can also buy a few a day with in-game cash. The odds are shown in the game under Stores › Crates › Odds, and a Legendary is guaranteed within 40 crates.

What are premium cosmetics?

Funny skins like the shark chopper, the rubber duck supply boat and the cow-print rig. They are sold straight, never random, and they are purely cosmetic.

Does the rig keep running when I close the game?

Yes. Your rig keeps producing while you're away (at a reduced rate, up to a time limit you can extend), and Gaffer Doug handles the storms. You'll see a summary when you come back.

What are deck jobs?

Short hands-on minigames from the Jobs button: unload the supply boat, crane lifts, chopper landings, drilling an exploration well, welding a repair and fixing tripped kit with the pipe puzzle. Each has a cooldown so they stay a treat.

Do I need an account or internet?

No. There is no sign-in and the game plays fully offline. Ads and purchases need a connection.

Will I lose my progress if I change phone?

Progress is saved on your phone. There is no cloud save yet, but you can copy your save with Settings › Export save and paste it into the game on your new phone with Import save. Purchases come back with Settings › Restore purchases.

Is it realistic?

It's based on real offshore life, 28/28 rotations, permits to work, toolbox talks and all, but it's a game. The real thing is a lot more careful.

Something is broken. How do I tell you?

Email support@gremlingarage.dev with your phone model and what happened. A screenshot helps. Or use the form at the bottom of this page.
